I am a passionate leader of engineering, construction and project management professionals working to solve the complex issues facing our built and natural environments. My experience spans a full spectrum of infrastructure challenges ranging from tsunami recovery work in Indonesia to complex highways here in the states for federal, public and private clients. With nearly 30 years of helping clients solve infrastructure challenges in new build, recovery, or resiliency scenarios, I’ve found that an often over looked key to success lies in the ability to collaborate with clients, employees, and the communities in which we work and live. Heart-led leadership seems paramount to solving the issues we face.
Joined London-based Atkins in 2013, where I led the firm’s $500M North America engineering, architecture, and construction management business, and guided its reorganizational transformation. Prior to joining Atkins, I was president of Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure’s Federal division with revenues exceeding $1B. While leading that business, I worked on some of the largest and most important infrastructure and asset management projects in the US, including managing emergency response and recovery projects following hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Sandy, providing oversight and direction for the Naval Refueling Program where the team provided engineering and design services as well as lifecycle management for hundreds of specialized DOD fueling facilities around the globe, and the design and construction of Louisiana’s Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Surge Barrier.
